Water filters for Kisii, Kenya

This gofund me campaign has been created to help purchase water filters to give each family the gift of clean water. The cost of each water filter is $30.00 and will provide each family with 10 years of clean water. This is the latest addition to an already successful program by a 501(c)(3) non profit organization called ITIAH Angels for Learning. The purpose of the Itiah Angels Beauty Projects organized by the organization is to bring the experience of the cosmetic chemistry industry to impoverished areas of the world with hopes that these new skills will open doors into entrepreneurship and provide a viable source of sustainable income for their families. We will also take STEM workshops to the children. The organization, which started in 2012 , has brought this experience to Haiti and Panama and were met with great enthusiasm by the local participants. Our next trip will be to Kenya in January 2020 where we will teach approximately 30 women how to make cosmetic products out of locally sourced ingredients. We wanted to start this gofundme campaign for our ambitious latest addition to the program to bring water filters as we learned that each family must boil their water prior to use after collecting water in buckets in a central location. Again, these water filters cost $30 each and will provide each family 10 years of clean water. We hope our friends that learn about the organization and the program will consider to donate (any amount is appreciated) to help these families have the gift of clean water.
