Water damage repair costs; Steve & Darleen Cherry

If 2020 hadn't been hard enough already for a disabled vet in his late 80's and his wife in her mid 70's, they are now dealing with major water damage.  A busted water heater caused damage to 3 full rooms (walls/cabinets/ceilings/floors) which have been gutted.  At the moment there is no running water and an unknown timeline when a contractor will be able to come start the reconstruction.  For at least a minimum of three weeks they will be living in a hotel without the normal hotel free breakfast (no buffet style food allowed due to Covid regulations) and boarding their dogs which is causing additional expenses.

The funds will be used to:
- Replace the water heater
- Insurance deductible
- Replace Christmas gifts for their grandchildren and great grandchildren (if needed)t
- Food expenses living in hotel without a kitchen
- Costs associated with having to use a laundromat
- Unforeseen expenses either personal or with the reconstruction

Due to the house being unlivable, the traditional Christmas at grandmas has been cancelled.  Steve and Darleen are faithful Catholics that never miss mass. They hold the ideals of being down to earth genuine people. They have never met a stranger, they willingly give their time as volunteers for local charities, and they will give their last dollar to help those in more dire need.

If you can find it your heart to help them out, no amount is too small, you will help them not only with the physical toll this is taking on them, but the emotional toll as well.  If you are like millions of us that are stretched financially, please share their link.
