The Wascher Family

Chris Wascher was diagnosed with an extremely rare soft tissue cancer, Pleomorphic Spindle Cell Sarcoma, in October of 2013. Since that time, he has bravely endured 12 surgeries to remove tumors and slow the growth. In April 2014 his leg was amputated at the hip, and in July he received a bionic leg. Expenses for the family have been insurmountable. The family makes frequent trips to St. Louis where Chris is being treated at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Chris has always been one to help everyone else around him. Whether it was as a first responder, a volunteer fireman, in the plumbing trade, or just anywhere there was a need - there was Chris!

His daughter, Dilly, is the absolute light of his life. She is a sweet, gymnastics and horse-loving 5  year old.  She attends Shoal Creek Community Church preschool where she is adored by her friends. She is the reason that Chris fights! As Chris' mother, Diana says, "Dilly and Chris are a real love story. They play together and pray together and take life's journey together. Wherever it leads them, they go hand in hand."

The family feels fortunate, and appreciates all the cards, letters and calls, but mostly everyone’s love and prayers. Despite the circumstances, they feel blessed.

Chris's mom, Diana, writes, "God has a plan. We may not understand God's plan but we take comfort in knowing He has one. Thank you for your prayers."

Please help this incredible family in any way that you can!
