At some point in our lives, we have all been affected by cancer—either through a personal battle or by helping a loved one fight the disease. Fighting cancer is draining – for the patients and for their families. Aside from the incredible physical and emotional stress it causes, fighting cancer can be an enormous financial burden.

No one ever wants or expects such a tragedy and a cancer diagnosis is shocking, overwhelming and devastating news for the entire family. As with any cancer diagnosis, Nicki Bailey and her family were shocked to learn after a gall bladder surgery that she was being diagnosed with gastric cancer that metastasized to her abdominal wall. Nicki’s world was changed in a matter of just a few seconds. Doctors have given her little hope and statistics are not favorable.

But praise the Lord! Nicki knows our Mighty, Powerful God and acknowledges that He is the Ultimate Healer! She has put her full trust in the Lord and accepts His will for her life and prognosis.

Nicki is a loving wife to her husband, Eddie, whom she adores and is a fully devoted homeschooling mom to their three girls, CJ, Jaydin, Lilygrace and their only son, Levi. She is the beloved daughter to Warren and Jewel McManus and is a cherished sister to Amanda McManus and Melissa Xhani. She is a lover of the Lord, is a precious friend and a motivating leader. Nicki is loved by so many and we are all just heartbroken…There are many words that could be used to describe her but what first comes to mind is that Nicki is a godly woman. She loves life and her family and she has been gifted with such an amazing servant’s heart.

We are praying that our Heavenly Father completely heals His servant, Nicki, from this disease and we ask that you join us in prayer to that end. Also, in the meantime, while Nicki undergoes appointment after appointment; scan after scan; and treatment after treatment, her husband Eddie will stay right by her side. The family is praying about which methods of treatment to pursue but many of the alternative, holistic treatments are not covered by insurance. Please pray about this giving opportunity to bless a precious family as they endure this trial. Please give as you are led to help pay for the mound of medical expenses, meals, gas for traveling to and from doctor visits and all the other typical expenses that come with running a household.
