Warrior Woods Beat Cancer Campaign

Donation protected
Please meet our beloved Woods Garrett, a gentle and loving 3- year old boy who has been sick for over a year. After a year of serious illness and unsuccessful attempts to find out what was wrong with Woods, on September 16, 2017 Woods' parents, Hank and Ashley got the news that is every parents’ worst nightmare: Woods has a large brain tumor.  Woods was life flighted from Pensacola to Memphis TN to be treated at some of the premier pediatric cancer centers in the world, St. Jude Research Hospital, and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.  On September 21, major brain surgery was performed and Hank and Ashley's worst fears were confirmed: the tumor is malignant.

Woods has been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of cancer that must be aggressively treated to give Woods a chance of survival and life.  It is estimated that Woods’ treatment at St Jude will take a minimum of 6 to 9 months.  The world has been turned upside down for Woods, his parents, his 9-year old brother Walker and his 1-year old sister Olivia.  They are faced with having to separate their family so Ashley can be at Woods’ side in Memphis during treatment, while Hank works at home in Florida to support their family during this crisis and provide as normal a structure and routine as possible for Woods' brother and sister.

They are facing a mountain of medical bills that piled up before Woods' acceptance to St. Jude; time off work and lost wages; a multitude of travel expenses to periodically reunite the parents and siblings during treatment, travel and expenses during follow up treatment when released from St Jude, and numerous other expenses they haven't even thought of yet.  We have set our goal to $50,000 dollars to make sure everything they need is covered.  Hank and Ashley are simple, modest people. Anything they do not use will be donated to St. Jude.

Please help us raise money for this beautiful family so they can focus on Woods' fight with cancer with as little stress and other distractions as possible. Please follow Woods story on Facebook at Team Warrior Woods.  On behalf of Hank and Ashley and their family, we thank you in advance for your support during this tremendously difficult time.
