Warrior Music Foundation provides free music lessons to active-duty military, veterans, and their families at no cost. Prior to being admitted into our lesson program, each applicant is assessed by one of the foundation’s board-certified music therapists who provides all necessary support to the individual as they take lessons. Moreover, each of our contracted music teachers goes through “Training Bootcamp;” a series of training modules created by our music therapists during which they are equipped with the proper actions steps if a student begins showing symptoms of PTSD, MST, or suicidal ideations. Our foundation’s music therapists continually communicate with our music teachers throughout their time in lessons.
If a student is unable to afford the instrument for their lessons, Warrior Music Foundation supplements that cost, thus increasing the need for financial support for this program. Thus far, Warrior Music Foundation has provided over 150 individuals with lessons, including active-duty military, veterans, and their children. For many applicants hesitant to immediately receive music therapy, our Music Lessons Program often serves a “bridge” program to music therapy. Students who complete our Music Lessons Program indicate a 15% increase in interest in receiving music therapy. We have over 200 individuals waiting for approval to begin lessons and we need your help.
We are looking for several sponsors to help fund this ongoing program. We need to raise over $100k to provide the service necessary. Every donation helps, but we are also seeking companies/individuals who can help make a significant contribution to the health of our veterans. Please consider making a large donation.
