Sandra is my wife and best friend and a courageous warrior in her battle with Alzheimer's Dementia. She is now in late stage Alzheimer's, requiring total care with me as her 24/7 caregiver with part time caregiving provided by Washington State.
We live in a small rural home heated by wood stove and space heaters in the winter. To ensure that Sandra survives the winter without risking pneumonia we need to install a mini-split one zone heatpump at a cost of about $7,000. We live on a fixed income of $1800/mo. and cannot get financing for the heating upgrade, which can be a life or death matter given the continual weakening of Sandra's immune system and general physical condition from Alzheimer's Dementia. She is 75 and has been fighting the Alzheimer's battle since 2008.
Firewood has become scarce and expensive to buy in our area and at 74 I find it getting more difficult to procure and split 7 cords of wood to heat our small home in winter months. The heating upgrade is very important for these reasons.
We are Christian and have chosen to leave the matter in God's hands.
