<div>Ik ben Maja, 52 jaar, alleenstaande mama van twee fantastische tienerdochters: Rune (14) en Lotte (12).

<div>In maart 2025 kreeg ik de diagnose HER2-positief gemetastaseerd mammacarcinoom, eenvoudiger gezegd: ik heb ongeneeslijke, uitgezaaide borstkanker. De bestraling, de zware chemo van de voorbije maanden en de levensverlengende behandelingen die ik nu krijg, hebben mijn weerstand bijna volledig weggenomen. Zelfs een kleine verkoudheid kan voor mij ernstige gevolgen hebben.

<div>Thuis zou mijn veilige plek moeten zijn, maar dat is het op dit moment helaas niet. De combinatie van de defecte verwarming en de kapotte afvoerleidingen van de badkamer en het toilet zorgen voor ernstige vocht- en schimmelvorming in huis, hierdoor kreeg ik al twee keer een zware infectie, en dit nog vóór de echte winterkou was begonnen.

<div>Ik probeer positief te blijven en er te zijn voor mezelf en mijn meisjes, maar zonder basiscomfort en warmte in huis wordt dat steeds moeilijker. Daarom vraag ik, met veel hoop en ja, ook met wat schaamte, om hulp.

<div>De donaties zullen gebruikt worden om:

<li>in eerste instantie dringend de verwarming te herstellen (dit staat op de planning na het bouwverlof);

<li>de badkamer en het toilet aan te pakken (de oude betonnen afvoerbuizen zijn ondergronds ingestort, met alle gevolgen van dien);

<li>eventueel andere noodzakelijke aanpassingen te doen zodat ik comfortabel, veilig en warm de winter doorkom.
