<div>The Bedford Park Congregational Church was founded in 1889 in the Bronx neighborhood of Bedford Park. The stone sanctuary building was built in 1892 and awarded Landmark status in 2000 by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.

<div>It may be warm now, but Bedford Park Congregational Church is facing a cold future. The 1080-gallon oil tank that supplies our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall boiler is leaking. We need an emergency infusion of cash to pay for clean-up and a replacement oil tank before the weather turns cold in a few months. We need it before the sanctuary is too cold to use or before the water pipes freeze and burst. This cost is not an expense we can pay over time like we pay our electric and oil bills. We have to pay it within the next two months. We have been proudly self-sufficient for 133 years, but now we face a large and immediate expense that we cannot afford. We provide space for local Alcoholics Anonymous groups and other congregations. Please help us keep our doors open and our buildings warm and welcoming to all who use them. Help us return to self-sufficiency. We will pursue a green energy solution if your generosity far exceeds our goal. HELP US GO GREEN!
