Wanda and Marcy's Journey

Marcy and I wanted to share what is happening in our lives.

As you are most likely aware, back in July of 2017 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  When we received the news, we went through so many mixed emotions.  We have always heard of others getting cancer, and have been there for so many others, but never expected it to happen to us.  

Marcy and I are getting ready to embark on a new journey.....Stem Cell Transplant.  After a year of chemotherapy, surgeries and bone marrow biopsies, we are finally ready!  We will begin this transplant the middle of July and I will be out of work for 3 months.  Marcy is going to take 3 weeks off to be with me during what they call the "transplant period" - where I have to have 24/7 supervision and have to be back and forth to Moffitt Cancer Center every day for all of those weeks.  This will put a little bit of a strain on us - but we will make it!  I am blessed with a wife who is my rock. I have family and friends who are on their knees in prayer..more than I can even comprehend.  And Marcy and I are surrounded with so much love.  Our Moffitt family has been more than amazing!  We are blessed.
