<div>Walther White wurde an Weihnachten‘ 23 als Jungvogel, dünn wie Papier, dicht in eine Ecke gedrückt gefunden. Es war eisig kalt und die warmen Hände, die seine Rettung werden sollten, haben ihn gerade noch rechtzeitig aufgehoben und mitgenommmen. Leider hatte Walther alle nur möglichen Parasiten an Bord und sich mit dem Paramyxovirus angesteckt. Es ging ihm sehr schlecht. Dank seines Lebenswillens und liebevollen Pflege hat er es geschafft und lebt trotz seiner, durch den Virus verbliebenen Flugunfähigkeit ein erfülltes Taubenleben mit allem, was Tauben ausser fliegen so machen. So hat uns Walther kürzlich eröffnet, dass er eigentlich weiblich ist und auch ohne Partner brüten möchte. Das hat leider nicht geklappt. Das Ei steckte fest und sie ist mit akuter, lebensbedrohlicher Legenot in die Praxis der Vogelkundigen Tierärztin nach Hannover gebracht worden. Nach einigem Zuwarten ohne eigenständiges Ablegen des Eis, war eine Entscheidung zu treffen. Soll Walther White eingeschläfert werden oder wird sie operiert, vom Ei befreit und anschliessend, um weiterer Brutaktivitäten zu verhindern, hormonell behandelt.

<div>Wir haben uns wie immer, wenn es Hoffnung gibt, für das Leben entschieden! Die Kosten für die Untersuchung, Stationierung und Operation beliefen sich auf 300 Euro. Hinzu kommen jetzt noch maximal eine  weitere Testosteron Spritze und der viertel Jählich notwendige Hormonchip, der mit 218 Euro empfindlich zu Buche schlägt. .
