Wally P Josephs Memorial Fundraiser

We have recently lost our beloved father, son of Jamaica, Waldermor P. Josephs on November 12, 2017, to an acute illness requiring emergency surgery and an extended stay at the Kingston Public Hospital's Intensive Care Unit  in Jamaica, West Indies. We are so very grateful for the tireless efforts of their brilliant medical & surgical team, and for the excellent care he received there before he died.

Our dad retired back to Jamaica after living and working here in the United States for most of his life, more than 10 yrs ago. He enjoyed citizenship in both countries, however if you knew him, you knew that he always planned on spending his last days in his country of birth. He was passionately proud of his heritage, and a  kind, fun loving, caring and giving soul. He was deeply dedicated to his family, and deeply committed to helping others in need, especially in his homeland Jamaica. He was very quiet about his good deeds, which we are hearing about more and more from the many people in his community that he has helped, now that he is gone.

In his memory, in his honor, and with his giving spirit as inspiration, we want to continue his legacy of service and raise funds for the Kingston Public Hospital's Department of Surgery and Intensive Care Unit which are in great need of medical supplies and updated surgical equipment. My sister and I, both Registered Nurses, know all too well the necessity of having even the most basic of items for providing quality health care, and sometimes take for granted how fortunate we are here in the United States in many ways.

Simply put, resources are essential, expensive, and they are limited in Jamaica, a place so many of us love and cherish.  We know our dad lived for being a blessing to others, and would want to continue to be one in his passing. Please consider donating to this heartfelt, Wally P Josephs inspired cause. No amount is too small, One Love.

Sincerely,
Sharon Amos & Melissa Josephs
