Join Wallaceburg Area Wind Concerns in our upcoming legal battle to protect the health and safety of families in the Wallaceburg area. We are a newly formed organization of concerned citizens raising public awareness about the negative impact of the proposed Otter Creek Wind Farm.
Many are aware of the 14 damaged wells in North Kent 1, immediately adjacent to the town of Wallaceburg. We share the same geology with North Kent and our water wells will share the same fate unless we act. In addition to the compelling water issue, we are faced with the prospect of twelve 642’ untested giants towering over the area North of the town of Wallaceburg in proximity to our homes, both town and rural, our schools and our seniors’ home.
Since the turbines were not in production at the time the application was filed with the government, the assessment of noise is based on ‘estimates’. We are on the brink of a development that has the potential to adversely affect human health, species at risk and will have a detrimental impact on our property values.
We appeal to you to support our David and Goliath battle to protect the many families who will be forced to live beside these huge, power generating machines.
