Walking the Ingleborough Peak for Andy's Man Club

For this project, and as part of our Enterprise unit at university, myself and six other students are raising money for Andy's Man Club. We're asking for donations and sponsors to support the charity as we participate in a walk over one of the three Yorkshire Peaks - Ingleborough. The walk will be taking place on Tuesday 10th November - we'll be setting off from college early doors to take on the walk, and documenting as much of the day as we can. The mental health crisis in the UK is only worsening currently due to the pandemic and we want to do what we can to break the stigma and support the cause. No matter who you are, every single person in the UK knows someone who has suffered with their mental health, or alternately suffered themselves. Particularly in males, speaking out isn't easy and the stigma attached to this often means that people don't think it's okay to show their vulnerabilities. Mental health is a topic close to all of our hearts, and if this walk helps just a few people to make that jump and seek the help they need, we'll have been successful. Every penny counts, even if it's just £1.00.

More information about ANDYSMANCLUB Limited: ANDYSMANCLUB is a male suicide prevention charity. We were established in 2016 after the tragic loss of Andrew Roberts to suicide aged 23. We facilitate non professional peer to peer support groups across the Uk and Scotland for any man to attend over 18. We provide a confidential non judgemental space for men to come together to chat about anything that they would like to get off of their chest. We have no waiting list, no referral or signing in process.
