Walking in the steps of the Saints

The IRISH CAMINO – Walking in the steps of the Saints

Growing up in the sixties in Victoria Australia, scouting provided many adventures like the Bogong High Plains and Wilsons Promontory to name a couple.

Then as a young adult I hitchhiked around Australia before embarking on my career choice which meant leaving for America to study. This provided opportunities to experience other cultures in Canada and Europe by visiting classmates. They were wonderful times, which preceded the next 40 years of my life dedicated to healing others through a unique combination of mind, body and spirit.

Settling down and raising a family with its many challenges, while practicing, I supported individuals and sporting teams, often being a positive influence on their experiences.

Five years ago, I embarked on an adventure, which I called my ’wilderness journey’ providing a much needed recalibration of myself.

This has encouraged my endeavor to do the IRISH CAMINO including the KERRY CAMINO.

A prevailing impression from clients is that they have enjoyed this integration of experiences in their time with me as a practitioner over the years.

I have excitedly watched others attempting their life’s journey, which is of importance to them. I recently witnessed a woman - universally funded, to open up the dreaming of the song lines from Australia to England and then Europe.

Similarly, my dream in this quest is to help the earth and its people.

A small donation for this fund would greatly enhance my chances of continuing a legacy of sharing this new experience.

THE IRISH CAMINO

Whilst the Comino de Santiago in Spain is quite well known and has been popular in recent times, Ireland has some ancient paths of its own. St Declan’s Way and the Kerry’s Way are two of them.

In Irelands north there is the Kerry Camino – 210kms of rolling landscapes, contemplative valleys and peaceful lakes bordering the wild Atlantic Ocean.

St Declan’s Way in the south of Ireland combines a number of ancient and medieval pilgrimage and trading routes, and is about 100km’s long.

It is my wish to make the most of this pilgrimage for myself, those who I impact on my journey and anyone willing to share in this journey at home and abroad in the best way possible.

I will be documenting the social, physical and spiritual aspects of this journey, adding imagery and video footage when required, and sharing this experience, as it happens, for all those who want to share in bringing this dream to fruition.

This is a long held dream for me, and I am truly grateful for any support and assistance that you may be able to afford.
