<div>I’m currently on a mission to become the first person to ever cross a continent on heels! I’m walking across Europe in heels to support a life-changing project in Romania. My goal is to reach Craiova from Barcelona while listening to my body and adapting as needed.

<div>The project Reaching out Romania has existed for many years and helped rescue many victims. Here is a message from the founder Iana Matei on what they are currently working on:

<div>At this moment we are planning to start a more complex after school program near Craiova. There are a few vulnerable comunities here and we want to reach the children. The plan is to set up a program where we bring them after school, help them with home work, organize personal development activities, and keep them in a safe environment, away from the abuse and alcoohol. Encourage them to further their education, preventing thus drug consumption and trafficking.

<div>I will transfer 100% of the funds directly to them. I would have had them as a direct receiver, but Go fund me doesn’t support transfers to Romania yet. All transactions will be 100% transparent.

<div>I started this project, in my mom’s name, Alcover. It has always been my dream to honor and celebrate her life through helping others. As a way for me to feel like her life didn’t get lost in vain. My mom died from cancer almost 14 years ago and if there is one thing I’ve inherited from her, it’s her positivity and love for life. This has been the one thing I couldn’t find a positive from, but loosing her has taught me about just how precious life is. And I hope this can transform that pain into having at least 1 positive outcome. I am so honored to do this for her and for an amazing project that is way bigger than any walk or social media video.

<div>J’ai lancé ce projet en hommage à ma maman, Alcover. J’ai toujours rêvé d’honorer et de célébrer sa vie en aidant les autres. C’est ma façon de donner un sens à son départ et de faire en sorte que sa vie ne soit pas partie en vain. Ma mère est décédée d’un cancer il y a presque 14 ans, et s’il y a bien une chose que j’ai héritée d’elle, c’est son positivisme et son amour pour la vie. C’est la seule chose à laquelle je n’ai jamais pu trouver un aspect positif, mais perdre ma mère m’a appris à quel point la vie est précieuse. J’espère que ce projet pourra transformer cette douleur en quelque chose de beau, en un impact positif. Je suis honorée de le faire pour elle et pour une cause qui dépasse largement une simple marche ou une vidéo sur les réseaux sociaux.

Mi mamá falleció de cáncer hace casi 14 años, y si hay algo que heredé de ella, es su positividad y amor por la vida. Esta ha sido la única experiencia de la que no he podido sacar algo positivo, pero perderla me enseñó lo valiosa que es la vida. Espero que este proyecto pueda transformar ese dolor en algo que genere al menos un impacto positivo. Me siento orgullosa de hacerlo por ella y por una causa que es mucho más grande que cualquier caminata o video en redes sociales.</span>
