More information about Walking With The Wounded: Walking With The Wounded offers assistance through its programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assist them in gaining independence through new long term careers outside of the military. This includes providing support to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System, areas which are too often ignored. The outcome? Sustainable employment, and independence for them and their families.
The plan is to Walk from the Cenotaph in George Square in Glasgow ,The main Memorial in our fair city , then head south to the area of Govan and war Memorial Number two , then heading South to War Memorial number three in Thornliebank
and to finish off in Newton Mearns at the war Memorial, and what's more I will de-litter the area of each memorial as I go.
I see this great work undertaken by my colleagues daily and see the benefits of the support provided to our veteran community and the huge difference this can make o their lifes , this years been tough lets finish it off on a real positive. And what's more why don't you join me y trying to raise some money for this great cause along with me .
