Walking for Mothers
Namaste Friends,
In Rukum, within one of the most disadvantaged Province of Nepal, women walk for kilometres (and in often cases days) to receive basic prenatal care or to give birth safely.
This year I visited Chaurjahari Hospital with International Needs Australia and saw firsthand how hard it can be to be a woman. I also saw the difference that quality health services, education, sanitation, and empowerment could make to the lives of mothers, their children and entire communities. For the first time in my life, I understood the value of a single dollar and its power to change lives forever. After my visit I was left utterly touched and inspired to do more, and to give whilst I live.
So on June the 27th, I plan to echo the footsteps of some of the strongest women I have ever met, and walk 45km in a single day from Pickles Street, Port Melbourne to Frankston Hospital to raise $10,000 for Mothers who desperately need your help to change the future for themselves, their families, and their country.
Please help me change the world for the better, one mother and child at a time by donating.
