Greetings,
My name is La Tika Jeffery, I am a advocate and mentor for Foster Care/ Adoption . As a former youth of the system, I understand the needs and importance of raising awareness within the community. And for that reason, May of 2020, I will be hosting a public walk to raise awareness to the mental health aspect of the Foster Care community.
Believe it or not, mental health within this community are heart breaking.
Did you know: with over 400,000 children in foster care in America, nearly 80 percent suffer from significant mental health issues (PSTD, Panic and anxiety disorders, major depression and drug/ alcohol abuse)?
With your help, I will be able to secure a location , food, literature, activities, T-shirts and so much more!
