<div>The Walk for a New Dawn, a Peace Walk co-sponsored by nineteen peace, environmental and social justice organizations in Massachusetts, (<a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1157iH-4O07B1psBSmIsL4iPYdbVKNBJE6H_FbIYkW2Q/edit?usp=drivesdk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">see co-sponsors</a> ) stepped off from the NY border at Williamstown on July 24th. We are walking across the Commonwealth to the Boston Common to deliver messages, petitions, and concerns to the Governor in support of the area we now call Massachusetts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please join the Walk for a New Dawn <strong>rally on the Boston Common on Thursday, August 13th at 2:00 pm</strong>, near the state house steps; spread the word and invite your friends!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Walkers have traveled in the spirit of nonviolence, carrying banners, signs and flyers, urging passing motorists and bystanders to…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Listen to Indigenous Voices</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Listen to Indigenous Nations first for Education;
</li>
<li>then… Change the Flag and Seal of Massachusetts!
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Defend Sacred Homelands</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Stop Sand Mining on Herring Pond Wampanoag Land!
</li>
<li>No New Nukes anywhere in Massachusetts!
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Honor all Peoples</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>No One is Illegal on Stolen Land.
</li>
<li>ICE OUT of Massachusetts NOW!
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Help us with donations, signing our petitions along the way, or joining the walk!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Give now to support the walk!</strong>
</div>
<div>Funds raised will go to reprinting the thousands and thousands of leaflets we have been steadily handing out each day along the walk, and also to reimburse support drivers for food, fuel and basic supplies like first aid. We've handed out over 8,000 leaflets so far and we have hardly missed a newspaper box or mailbox flag along the route, (except during the downpours last week.)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What does a contribution to the Walk for a New Dawn provide?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>$500 prints another 3,000 double-sided leaflets at the great union print shop in Florence, MA: Collective Copies. This hard-working collective ships USPS same-day to meet the growing resupply needs of the Walk as we move closer to Boston.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When the Walk ends on Aug 13th at the Boston Common, the need for more fliers will continue to grow, as we work with Citizens Awareness Network to canvass the districts of six legislators who will meet in closed door conference committee to decide whether to overturn a voter-approved referendum requiring safe storage of nuclear waste before any New Nukes are constructed in the Commonwealth. Help us canvass these six districts to say: No Secret Deal to Repeal - No New Nukes in Massachusetts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our goal is to raise $20,000 all told! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any monies raised above meeting the basic costs of the Walk for a New Dawn, and the continuing cost of leaflets for the Citizens Awareness Network, working to stop New Nukes in Massachusetts, will be donated to the Native Land Conservancy, to help with their efforts to buy back Native Land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference in reaching more people. Let’s join hands and lift these messages all across Massachusetts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support!
