Tamsin's Pediatric Walk Aide Fund

Family Robb is saving for a pediatric walk aide for Tamsin. A quick note to family and friends from Bre: We expect it to take us until March to have the funds we need. Tamsin's therapists believe this device will be a really big help to her, and I'd love to get it for her sooner, so I thought I'd start this campaign. Tamsin's medical insurance does not cover any of the cost. We've started a savings account for any contributions.
About Tamsin's journey:
She was diagnosed with right hemiparesis at the age of 1. This means that she experienced a minor brain trauma either in utero or during birth on the left side of her brain that impacts the right side of her body (many of you have seen the braces she wears to help with this). Her muscles on the right are hypotonic and less capable than those on the left. Tamsin didn't walk until after she was 2 years old, and that triumph was very hard earned through copious physical and occupational therapy sessions and plenty of determination and tears--mine and hers--she bit me several times during early therapy sessions. :)
About the walk aide:
The pediatric walk aide will actively strengthen her muscles by stimulating her nerves through gentle electrical impulses sent through the device which will be worn on her right leg. It is an expensive medical tool that clinical research has shown to improve in the following areas: proprioception, walking speed, circulation, range of motion and significant muscle growth. In addition the pediatric walk aide will decrease Tamsin's energy expenditure that she is currently exerting to compenste for her right side.
