Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2020

East Lindsey Domestic Abuse Service successfully celebrated International Women's Day 2019 by hosting "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2019", this year we are recreating the event with "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2020". The event will assist to ensure Lincolnshire continues to raise awareness of Domestic Abuse which is imperative considering the 173 victims who were murdered in 2018. Recent news articles are focusing on the fact that Domestic Abuse kills 15 times as many as terrorism in England.
This is an opportunity for you to get involved & ensure those who were so cruelly murdered are remembered, to raise awareness and to advocate for those who are no longer with us ensuring their voices are heard from beyond the grave.
The funds raised will support our staff to continue to facilitate awareness raising courses such as the Freedom programme and the You and Me, Mum programme locally, providing a platform for victims to access knowledge and empowerment to process the reality of the abuse they have been subjected to in order to move on to a future free from risk of further abuse.
Join us on Sunday the 8th of March 2020 at 11am Hallington Road end of Hubbards Hills as we "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2020" through the hills on through Westgate Fields with the walk coming to an end at Bar Castillejar, New Street, Louth.
To register for this event simply donate a minimum of £5 per person (this covers the cost of your "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2020" Sash) leaving your name(s) in the comments box then email [E-Mail ausgeblendet].uk or call 01507 609830 to receive your registration pack.
