Hi everybody!
My name is Shannon Elliott, and I am the writer-director of the upcoming film Waking Up Dead. Which is not only a film that I have been working on for a long time, it is also my Thesis project!
As many of you know I am in progress on my MFA at Emerson College, and this project will be the accumulation of all of my work. Many of you have supported me in the long and winding road that has lead me this point in my life, and I am forever grateful for all the love and support you have continued to give me.
The $6000 dollars I am trying to raise will go to the following.
-Travel
-Location Permits
-Equipment Rental
- Special FX Make Up Artist
-Food for the Cast and Crew
-Props and Set Dressings
Making art is expensive when you are starting out and when you are an independent filmmaker doing a full MFA course load, working two jobs and on other peoples films. But it’s a life I love and wouldn’t trade for the world.
This film might be the last step in getting my MFA, but it will be the first step in a grand new adventure.
