Wakefield RDA Volunteers trip to HOYS 2024

Hi, I’m Jo Wainwright a British Dressage Judge and Trainer from CE Dressage.
I train riders from the local equestrian community for dressage and flatwork, many of these training days at Wakefield RDA.
Over the past 10yrs I have watched the volunteers commit endless time, dedication and enthusiasm to the care of the ponies, which live and work at the group, 365 days of the year in all weathers!
Randomly, one day I had this bright idea! I would like to celebrate their hard work by giving them all the opportunity to go on a day out. Give those work boots a rest and let ME look after the ponies while they have a well earned day off.
The bright idea was then said out loud, so it was born, but, where do you take a group of horse mad people?
Where do you get an incredible experience all under on roof ?
It was always going to be a show like no other in the Equestrian calendar, it didn’t take any deciding it had to be THE HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW 2024 on its 75th Anniversary, Saturday 12th October 2024 at The NEC in Birmingham.
As we all know everything horse related comes at a cost, I am not relying on donations from this page alone. I have a healthy events calendar in place, however, not everyone has a horse or can make the events that’s where I am reaching out for a little extra help.
I am asking, through this page that the cost of the coach can be supported.
I would like nothing more than to be able to share with you all the pictures of the happy smiling faces that’s going to flood everyone’s media on trip day.
