Waggrakine Volunteer Bushfire Cadet

The Waggrakine Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade have been serving the Waggrakine and surrounding communities for the past 49 years.
In 2016 the brigade started a Bushfire Cadet program for kids aged between 11 and 16 years of age. This year a team of six of our cadets have been invited to compete in the Australian Fire Cadet Championships in Sydney this October. This team will be one of only two teams representing the whole of Western Australia, this is a first for a Regional WA Bushfire Cadet Unit to be competing at these games!
We are trying to raise funds for our team to attend these games, which as you can imagine, will be quite costly.
We are fundraising to provide the cadets with items required for the competion. This will include ; State and Brigade uniforms, Kit bags, airfares and accomodation prior to the games.
All accomodation during the games is catered for but as a lot of these kids have never been to Sydney we plan to show them the main attractions in the days leading up to the games.
This whole experience is an amazing opportunity for them and will be something they will never forget.
Any donation, large or small , will help hugely for the kids, and also be greatly appreciated . So please dig deep and help to get these amazing cadets to the Sydney competition to represent our state of WA
