This is a fundraising page for Wadene Kerby and her newly discovered battle with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. She, as well as her entire family, were in complete shock with this news, and also very unprepared. Anyone who knows Wadene, knows that she is very loving, sweet, hardworking, and just an amazing person. We all know that God is guiding this storm, and that Wadene has a huge support system out there willing to help.
Wadene will start chemo tomorrow (10/23) and we do not yet know how it will affect her. Not only will the medication make her sick, it will also destroy her immune system - which could make taking care of kids at home very difficult. Being self employed is nice, but it does not provide any paid time off or sick leave. On top of all that, we do not know how long the chemo will be approved by the insurance. To self pay it would be $7,000 per month. Thankfully it was covered 100% this month, but next month there will be a co-pay. Wadene is going to need to start saving for medical bills, sick time, and even basic living expenses should she not be able to continue watching kids at home.
We would greatly appreciate any support you are able to offer.
