Help Wade as he recovers from open heart surgery
Donation protected
For the last month, Wade has been experiencing many health issues that had gone undiagnosed until this past week.
On 7/25, he went into the emergency department, where he was hospitalized with sepsis. They learned that he had developed bacterial growth on his aortic valve. This "vegetation" growth requires open heart surgery to replace the aortic valve and to clean out any surrounding infection. He will undergo surgery on 8/1 and has a long road ahead of him.
Wade is a new business owner and is now unable to give the business the attention that it requires. This is causing extra stress and financial burden along with having open heart surgery at such a young age.
If you are unable to donate, but are in the Spokane area, please consider stopping by Carl's Coffee on your way to work (2320 E Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99202).
UPDATE———
open heart surgery took place on 8/1 and was a success despite complications. The aortic valve was replaced with a mechanical valve but two additional areas needed to be cleaned and patched. After a 5 day stay in the ICU Wade has been released and will continue rehab and home health care for sometime. Recovery will not be easy but he is grateful to be alive and feeling relatively well. He is humbled by the love and generosity he has received and your support means more than we could ever say.
