Wacik Family Fire Relief

On Sunday, December 10, 2017, a fire broke out in Wilson Borough, PA. The flames quickly engulfed four homes and left several families stranded in the brisk December air. Among those affected were my loving grandparents, Charlie and Marlowe Wacik. My grandfather has been a Wilson Borough firefighter for decades. He volunteers his time at our church and also serves as an employee for a local funeral home. He was scheduled this week to, as he does annually, dress as Santa, hop in a fire truck, and drive around delivering toys to local children in the town. My grandmother has also devoted her time to many community programs and has spent her retirement enjoying the company of her family and three grandchildren.

The two most caring and loving individuals I know are now left without a home just one week before their oldest grandchild's college graduation and two weeks before the holidays. I hope to raise this money in order to help them begin to rebuild. As I finish out my college education in a different part of the state, you cannot imagine how hard it is to be distanced from my family during this disastrous time.
