Medical Expenses

Saturday, January 06, 2018, our son Tyler was playing basketball with his cousins and he fell forward and hit his head, resulting in a concussion.  He was transported via ambulance to Florida Medical Hospital and then transferred to Plantation General Hospital, the morning of January 07, where he was admitted for 4 days.  That same Wednesday afternoon when he was discharged from Plantation General Hospital, we came home and he showed further signs of 'not being well.'  We quickly made the decision to take him to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital where he got further medical attention and was released the Monday after.  

A concussion does take time to heal and requires numerous follow up visits to various specialists; and we now know that, "every concussion is different".  Tyler has not been able to go back to school since then because of frequent blackouts.  His father is unable to work because someone has to be around him all the time.  Doctors have not been able to say how long TIME will be, so we solicit your prayers. 

Tyler has insurance but not all the specialists that he has to see, take his insurance, so we have to pay out of pocket, which is VERY difficult at this time.
