Wyatt Boone Iverson was born on 11-6-17 with
an extreme form of Gastroschisis. Gatroschisis is a birth defect of the abdominal (belly) wall. Wyatt’s intestines are found outside of his body, exiting through a hole beside the belly button and will need multiple surgeries in order to reconnect and bowels, and have normal bowel function.
We initially thought Wyatt was going to be in the hospital for 1-2 months, but he will be at Primarys Childrens Hosptial until March 2018 at the earliest release. He is set to have his next second surgery on January 11th.
We are completely overwhelmed with medical bills and initially thought we could do it on our own. But the battle is becoming harder and harder and with our family living off of 1 income we are starting to struggle. Our insurance has denied us coverage for 2017 as well. So, we are 100% responsible for the rest of 2017 totaling to over 400,00 dollars.
We are starting a GoFundMe Me with hopes our family and friends can rally around us in this hard time and help with some of the medical costs. Anything helps, and we appreciate it so much.
