Colts Medical Fund

Hello Heavy Family,

Colt Lippincott our sous chef here at Purple Woodinville recently received a medical diagnosis nobody wants to hear. He has a plum sized tumor on his brain which is requiring a surgery here in the very near future. Through all of this Colt has continued to show up to work with a smile on his face, eager and ready to coach his staff and brighten their day. I have personally learned a valuable lesson from Colt, and that's to remain positive, he has shown all of us that it's the healthiest way to live each day. To show Colt and his family our love and support we have created a gofundme page.

After speaking with Colts fiancé Lydia, and his mother, I would like to share their message. Please read the heartfelt words below and send your love, well wishes and prayers to Colt and his family. Any monetary donation will help while he battles his way back to good health. HRG has also approved that any staff member that has vacation or sick/safe time can donate their hours to Colt while he is out of work and healing. Please reach out to Trina Honn if interested in donating your vacation, sick/safe time. [email redacted]

You are in our constant thoughts and prayers buddy!

With love,
Your Purple and HRG family!

The picture of this young man is our son Colt Lippincott. He is 24 years old. 1 month ago our son told us he thought he needed a checkup because he felt something wasn't right. 3 weeks ago he called to tell us he has a brain tumor. Life stopped. He told us it is the size of a plum and is growing on the right side of his brain that controls equilibrium and that he had been having problems with his right side and with his balance. The surgeon gave us two possible names of brain tumors. These can only be identified by taking a biopsy which would mean an 8 hour surgery to remove the tumor. Colt will then face a 24 hour ICU stay and a 1week hospital stay. Physical therapy and recovery will take around 6-8 weeks best case scenario.

This young man is so dedicated not only to his craft as a chef but also to the people he works with and for. He continues to work using his great gift of charm and humor to lift the spirits of his staff and lighten the hearts of his family and friends as we count down the days to his surgery.

With the management and staff of Purple Cafe and Wine Bar we are posting Colts story in the hope that you will add your prayers, support and encouragement with ours and show Colt that there is great strength in unity even from people you may not know. Along with cards or notes to help lift his spirits during the tough days and months to come, any small gift of money to help with the financial burden of this magnitude would also be deeply appreciated. Thank you for sharing in this young mans journey.
