UPDATE……
We are NOW on the other side of both kidney and Heart Transplant and at the point of Med balancing to keep it all alive! He is working up in health daily! He is feeling healthier yet he is still wounded in both kidney and heart areas of his body :). Blessed and Grateful!!!!!

I am raising money because I have kidney failure and need a transplant
there are several expenses that go with a transplant that medi-cal/medi-care doesn’t cover
I have had a rough 2 1/2 years
First I was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had my right kidney removed. After that my left kidney wasn’t working very well and I was told I needed dialysis and a transplant as soon as possible. I have now been on dialysis over 2 1/2 years and have started the process of getting a transplant. I am lucky my sister wants to see if she is a match. As I stated earlier medi-care takes care of the surgery and on both my end and the donors also the donor has a foundation that will pay transportation, hotel, food, and fuel however there is no such help for the person receiving the kidney. I also have the extra cost of having to stay within 2 hours of the transplant center for 3 months after the surgery and staying within 2 hours of Cedar Sanai Medical Center is not cheap.
