One of the many things that motivates and inspires me to persevere on my spiritual journey are the examples of God working in others' lives that I get to witness. As Emmaus brothers, I know that we share with the angels and saints that joy and sense of victory when a lost soul is transformed and brought back into the fold. To God be the glory!
It is one of these examples that has moved me to bring this request to you now.
One of our brothers, Casey Thomas, is about to undergo an extreme hardship. Casey will be facing the consequences of his previous life, decisions, and actions. He does so willingly, optimistically and with the intent of putting this chapter behind him and emerging better than his prior self. With God's help I am super-confident of the outcome as I know we all are.
Tragically, the price of Casey's punishment entails him being incarcerated. This January Casey must leave his wife, children, home, family and friends and report to jail for 6 months in order to pay his debt to society. I stand in awe of Casey as he is resolute and steadfast in his unwavering faith and future but he is understandably concerned for his family's immediate financial well being while he will be seperated from them.
I ask you to prayerfully consider contributing whatever amount you can to assist Casey's family during this terribly trying period in their lives.
