Jody's fight against brain cancer

Hi, my name is Ashlee Smith, and with the help of my family, we are trying to raise money for my Mom and Dad, (Scott and Jody Farrell) to help her fight against brain cancer. She's only 57 years old and having the fight of her life.

If you know my Mom, she is a very hardworking, caring and funny person. The most loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. My parents have been married for 37 years strong. Always right by my Dad's side, helping run their successful business, Attitude Custom Painting, for over 20 years now, painting automobiles and motorcycles from all over the world.

Starting back in September 2022, my Mom started showing symptoms and we just knew something wasn't right. In January 2023, after lots of testing and scans, she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform (GBM), affecting all 4 lobes of the brain. Surgery was ruled out in the early stages, as the tumor was already too progressive and deep in the brain. The prognosis was 3 months without treatment and hopes of 6-18 months with treatment. They decided on very aggressive treatment, doing radiation 5 days per week plus an oral chemo pill, daily. Both for 6 weeks straight. The effects of these have taken a huge toll on mom and she is very weak and fatigued. She is unable to work or help with much, but my Dad has done an amazing job, holding down the fort. I'm very proud of him and I know this hasn't been the easiest for him either.

My hope in doing this Go Fund Me page, is to take some weight off their shoulders and help financially with the staggering amount of medical bills and to make it easier for my dad to be there with mom and enjoy their time together. We're all hoping and praying for a miracle for Mom to beat this.
