Help needed with medical costs

For the past year, my pa has been in and out of emergency rooms, hospitals and rehabilitation centers. It’s been a roller coaster ride for both pa and mom. He has fallen over a dozen times, had pneumonia and a series of infections ending with MRSA virus.

The medical expenses not covered by insurance have been adding up and since both my parents are on social security, it’s all catching up and causing more stress than they can handle. Our family is helping when they can but we can only help so much.

Mom has brought dad home with hospice as his treatment plan. It is a promise they made to each other years ago, no nursing homes. Mom is doing her best to keep her promise.

Mom is waiting for some services to kick in but, meanwhile she had promised to get him home and she did but he’s completely incapacitated and needs round the clock care as he’s developed dementia. Mom has hired a pca to come to the house nightly so she can get him to bed. The money for the pca is just another hardship for them. Money raised from this fundraiser would help pay for that medical care.

Any help you can give them while they spend their last times together would be greatly appreciated. They have been married 33 years and have been devoted the each other and mom is doing her best to keep her promise of no nursing homes.
