Jamie’s Fund

Last fall, Jamie was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. The tumor appeared in Jamie’s jaw area and was involved with his jawbone early on. This incredibly tough location made it virtually impossible to operate on without completely, negatively affecting his quality of life. Also, due to the rarity of this form of cancer there is very little information regarding treatment options. After consulting numerous experts, doctors and researchers, Jamie decided on a course of action involving traditional and non traditional evaluations and treatments. To date, Jamie has been paying out of pocket for his non traditional treatments which have become quite extensive.  
     To those of you who are not familiar with Jamie, I’d like to give you a brief profile and history. I’ll start with saying that no one is more deserving of our help. Jamie was always what we refer to as an “Old Soul”. Even as a very young man, Jamie was as much a father figure as a dear friend to many. After college, Jamie married the love of his life, Renee. After living in Alaska for a number of years, Jamie and Renee bought a farm in Tennessee where they continued raising their family of four. Jamie worked in Alaska for BP and traveled back and forth. Jamie and Renee, with hearts of gold, opened their home to five more children and adopted all five of them. Tragically in 2009 Renee was killed. To say the ensuing years were difficult for Jamie is a monumental understatement. But he endured and continued to give all his kids a chance in life. He now needs our help. All who know Jamie know that it is very difficult for him to ask for help, but he has. So please find it in your heart to help a caring  friend, loving father and solid man.
