Ranger's Cancer Treatment

We rescued Ranger from a shelter when he was about 2 years old. He is a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever Mix. Ranger is technically my dad's dog, but now, my mom, my sister, and I take care of Ranger. He is a very loving, loyal, and goofy dog.
Ranger is very loved, and he demands attention and belly rubs constantly. He competes for my mom's attention and gets jealous when we (her kids) show affection towards her. Ranger also has a deep appreciation for food. He enjoys everything, but his favorite food is paneer, a type of homemade Indian-style cheese. He is a very vocal dog, and he loves to express his emotions by speaking to us. When we tell him we love him, he responds saying "I love you" back to us! He enjoys sleeping with all of his legs up in the air, and his favorite toy is anything that squeaks.
Ranger has never had any history of medical problems. He has always been very healthy and active, even as an 11 year old dog. However, we recently found a large, firm lump on his hip, close to his tail. We were immediately concerned and took him to the vet to get it checked. The vet suggested a biopsy because he suspected that Ranger may have a sarcoma.
After removing the mass and sending it in for lab tests, they found that Ranger has a fibrosarcoma. We were referred to a veterinary oncologist for further treatment options. After consulting with two different oncologists, we were told that surgery would not be an option for Ranger's condition. The next best treatment option is radiation therapy, which would most likely be curative. This costs $10,000. A cheaper alternative to this is electrochemotherapy (ECT), which also has good results in many dogs with this type of cancer. This treatment would cost $3,800. Considering financial burdens and Ranger's quality of life, our oncologist suggested that we try electrochemotherapy for now. Due to the nature of his cancer, we are trying to get Ranger started on treatment as soon as possible.
