Help Jupiter beat FIP

This is our cat Jupiter. Jupiter is a seven year old, 17 pound, Siamese mix. A little over a month ago Jupiter stopped eating. Jupiter ALWAYS eats! 17 pounds doesn’t just happen! We took him to the vet, they thought he was fine, and told us to wait it out. Two days later we took him back for bloodwork and his bloodwork was unremarkable. Two more days and he was now 5 days of not eating and his breathing was way too fast. We took him to the ER. After 3 days and dozens of tests, they suspected FIP and said he wouldn’t make it home from the hospital and we should all come say goodbye and euthanize him. I couldn’t do it. We were devastated. $4,000 vet bill to tell us there was nothing we could do. We went as a family to bring him home figuring if he died on the way home he’d die with all of us and not in a scary hospital surrounded by strangers. We had a vet come to the house to give us a Quality of Life Assessment. Luckily the vet tech told us about an experimental (albeit VERY EXPENSIVE) treatment. We started at the end of May and are 35 days in (this with a cat that wasn’t supposed to make it home from the hospital). Jupiter is doing great, his bloodwork is nearly perfect, he’s eating, cuddling with his sister, and back to the Jupiter we know and love. We have 49 days to go, plus lots of follow up tests and vet appointments. He’s on a huge dose because he’s a huge cat! Any donation would be a HUGE help! I can’t lose him and we can’t stop now!
