NEW HEART- NEW LIFE

Last night I received devastating news about my friend Jan's Michalak tragedy. Jan had a massive heart attack that leaded to arrhythmia and then to heart failure. Within a few days the entire world for him and his partner Danuta collapsed.

There was not much hope for him, the only possible option to save his life was to get new heart. We all know waiting time might be months, which is something he doesn't have.

Somehow ,it is hard to believe, thanks to higher power within a few days a new heart was found and Jon was able to get his transplant.
Last Monday he received his new life.

That is amazing news and Jan is doing great on his way to recovery. For many people this is over, his life has been saved and he is stable and doing good.

But the truth is, this is not over this just beginning to the long journey to be healthy and independent again.

For those of us who had any illness in the family, we understand what it means to take care about a seriously sick person. He is being hospitalized in intensive care unit in New York hospital. 

Danuta is trying to spend every minute with him, she is not able to work 5 days a week anymore,  living 2 hrs from NYC, every day is a struggle.

Just gas, tolls, parking to get to the city is a significant amount of money every day. Medical bills for all the procedures are here to come. Again it is not over, they have months of hard work and fight in front of them.

I would like to ask for prayers for strength for Dana and a quick recovery for Jan, but also for financial help. Every penny will count. We will be grateful for all your help.
Real friends aren't the ones who make your problems disappear, they are the ones who won't disappear when your facing problems.
