<div>Since January, Mom has been hospitalized 10 times for Acute Pancreatitis. This was something she only experienced one time 13-years prior due to her gallbladder. The occurrences of Acute Pancreatitis this year was something that left us for a loss of words. After extensive testing, she was diagnosed with a CFTR gene and a SPINK1 gene. These two genes alone were unknowingly passed down from her parents. With her having these two genetics mutations, it has increased her chances drastically of having Acute Pancreatitis. Which has a high potential of turning into Chronic Pancreatitis. Just to put into perspective, having the SPINK1 gene increases her chances by 900 times than the average person of having these acute flare ups.

<div>After many, many specialist visits and hospital stays the only option given to her was to travel to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for clinical trials. Her set scheduled date is February 3, 2026. I will be traveling with her for support.

<div>As you know, my family has always been a very hard working family. We hate to even ask for assistance, but between hospital stays, travel, and expenses; everything has just added up. Anything will help, and we appreciate it all so much. We pray that the specialists she will meet with will have the answers for her, and we pray that we will continue to seek God’s Will.
