On a recent work trip to Indonesia, we met someone unexpected—Bucket, a sweet and loyal stray dog who stole our hearts. She found us during a walk, followed us for miles, and has been by our side ever since. After learning her heartbreaking story—that she was abandoned by foreigners a year ago and has been surviving alone in a temple parking lot—we knew we couldn’t leave her behind.

The local community knows Bucket well. They describe her as gentle, kind-tempered, and incredibly loyal. Despite her struggles, she remains full of love and trust. Now, we want to give her the home and family she deserves, but the journey to bring her to the U.S. is costly.

Why We Need Your Help

Rescuing and relocating Bucket involves significant expenses, including:

• Immunizations & Veterinary Care – Ensuring she is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy for travel.

• Transport to Jakarta – Bucket must first be transported to Jakarta before flying internationally.

• Cargo Flight Fees – Safe pet transport from Jakarta to the U.S.

• USDA Permits & Import Requirements – Meeting all regulations for her entry into the United States.

The total cost is approximately $6,000, and we just didn’t anticipate such a significant expense during this trip. Rather than hesitate on saving her life, we decided to reach out to our community for contribution towards this process. Bucket isn’t just any stray—she’s a survivor, a fighter, and one of the most affectionate dogs we’ve ever met. She’s made an entire village fall in love with her, and now she’s chosen us to be her family. She’s also quite the adventurer—her preferred mode of transportation? A scooter! Yes, she rides like a pro, wind in her fur, tail wagging, reminding us how resilient and full of life she is despite all she’s been through.
