Gobstopper's Jaw Surgery

On the night of May 29th, Gobstopper, my indoor only cat got outside for a couple hours. When he came home he acted fine, but then the next day all he did was hide in the closet.  He showed interest in food, but would only lick the food and not actually eat it.  After 2 vet visits, and a trip to see the surgeon, we found out Gobi had broken the left side of his jaw, and had a puncture woun

d under his chin.  The vet told us that the break was too high up on the jaw line to wire it closed. Gobi's jaw required surgery to insert a plate and several pins. He is an older cat so it will take him longer to heal, but we are confident that he will make a full recovery.  We are in the process getting ready to move out of state so money is very tight right now.  We truly appreciate any and all help!
