W4C Dinner for Healthcare Heroes

The COVID-19 crisis is far from over. Doctors and nurses continue to work long, difficult shifts under dangerous conditions, and the vast majority of these essential health care workers—nearly 77%—are women.
Women make up nearly 9 out of 10 nurses and nursing assistants, and most respiratory therapists, putting them at the front lines of the current crisis. These women are making tremendous sacrifices for their families and those they care for, and we’d like YOU to help us show our gratitude by providing meals to local doctors and nurses.
Earlier this month, the Women4Change Board provided comfort-food dinners to the ER staff at Eskenazi Health Center. We partnered with Jacquie’s, a local, female-owned catering company that has generously agreed to provide another round of meals at a reduced cost.
More than half the restaurants in the U.S. are owned by women, and due to restaurant closures, their incomes have been dramatically reduced during this crisis. We are thrilled to be able to provide income for these workers as well.
Women4Change needs your help to support our local healthcare heroes and foodservice workers! Our goal is to raise $500 to continue providing healthy, warm meals for those making the sacrifice to care for patients in need. Thank YOU for helping us support those on the front lines of this crisis!
