Our father was not a perfect man and he never attempted to be, but he was an honest person who found happiness in devoting his energy to his family. His life revolved on bettering our lives and he only sought to give us stability in all aspects. As his kids, we find profound respect and admiration for the undying support he gave us. His example to put family first is a practice that we all will follow with our families. Even with his case of stage 4 metastatic melanoma, he went on to give us his best attitude. He prevailed until the very end, and unfortunately, our father’s battle with cancer ended this morning May 22, 2018.

He was an exceptional human who deserved all the love he received because he had earned it due to his heart of gold. We as a family are FOREVER THANKFUL for the man he was because his morals instilled a foundation that would not have been found elsewhere. He valued each of his children and praised all of their distinct characteristics. In one way or another, he always went out of the way to make us feel safe and special. His willingness to give without expecting anything in return proved how selfless this wonderful man was. He had a charming and captivating personality that would radiate light and life in every room. His determination to better himself was surreal. Our fathers strength amongst all his great qualities proved to be inspiring, especially towards the last days of his life. Through these aching pains, his optimism did not deter and he pressed all his faith for a solution with a smile on his face.

In our lives, we only meet a couple of people who truly make a resounding difference in who we become. Our father was one of those people and we were lucky to have had the privilege to be a better version of ourselves because of him. He will never be forgotten because he was genuine and kind to people and so they will carry his legacy on for as long as health is involved for them too.

As a family, we feel obligated to provide the best closing for this chapter of my father's life.

We are interested in raising this money to complete burial services for him due to the fact that he did not have insurance.  Also, our household income is not enough because I am a full-time student at Rutgers who only works part-time jobs due to conflicting schedules. My brother who is a US Marine is based in California and he also tries to provide some form of income. So we are hoping that with this amount we will be able to give the best service available. We, his family would be more than grateful to receive any form of help as soon as possible, being that his service is scheduled this upcoming Friday, May 25, 2018.

Sincerely,

His children and his wife.

Sinceramente,

Sus hijos y su esposa.
