Hey guys.
Gosh, where to start?
My mom was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer at the begining of June. At first, the specialists told us she had just 5 years left, but that quickly deteriorated to 6 months. And now, along side other medical issues, perhaps less than a month. She is no longer able to receive chemo, so all they can do for her is try and keep for comofrtable. Needless to say, my little family hasnt had much time to absorb and addapt to whats going on.
My grandma, mom and myself have always been a tripod. Best friends and sisters. She was always full of life. SO full of life. She was everyones "mom" while I was growing up. I dont think she realizes how many people are affected by this and how much she is loved and will be sorrily missed.
But Im not making this page for her. Im making it for my dad. Her bestfriend and her soulmate. Together they are the epitome of what marriage is supposed to be all about. #relationshipgoals. For real. But in all seriousness, its expensive to live and its expensive to pass on and though Alberta health care is the best in the country, eventually my dad will have a huge financial burden on his already broken hearted shoulders. From the treatments, to funeral costs, to just living on his own. Not to mention all the time hes been taking off work to be with his wife. My only goal for the forseeable future is to take any and all the stress I can away from him.
Its been a hard year for my family. A few of us, including myself, and my mom, were laid off. And I cant help with expenses as much as I wish I could. Thats why Im asking for your help. I know its rough out there right now, I really do, but anything you can donate would be so so appriciated.
