Flood Assistance*Please Help

On Tuesday October first at aprox 9p.m our apartment at the beaver dam shoe factory (on spring st) was completely flooded. We will be displaced from our home for a least a month. In the meantime we are staying in a relatives spare bedroom, which we are thankful for.


Im a single mother of two kids that live with me full time. I am on disability for severe mental illnesses (which my current situation is not helping, to say the very least.)   Due to my low income, I was unable to afford rental insurance. Even if I were to have had rental insurance, flooding is not covered. Therefore I could greatly use some help replacing some of the items that we lost.  Thank you so very much to anyone who has shared, donated or offered support <3 


*****UPDATE*****
I have contacted Red Cross, Salvation Army, St Vincents, Community Action, 211, Disability Resource Center, Hud, Temp assistance for needy families, forward services, a few churches, and a few others places that I can't recall, and the only thing they can offer is temporary housing at a shelter which thankfully I don't need.
