Fundraiser for Juliana Danaus

Last week a devastating fire hit Ojai, CA and much of Ventura county.  Our friend, Juliana Danaus and her two beautiful kids were fortunate enough not to lose their home,  but nevertheless suffered great loss. 

Many of us were first introduced to Juliana as a huge advocate for the Monarch Butterfly as a major contributor to the 18,000 + members of THE BEAUTIFUL MONARCH Facebook group. Over the past years, she has poured her time, money and her heart into the care and conservation of The Monarchs and other pollinators in our community, and in doing so, has inspired and guided so many others in bringing back these beautiful butterflies.  She has lovingly planted and established gardens/monarch way stations in Ojai at the Ojai Valley of the Moon Community Garden and the Ojai Police Department, You can read more about her efforts in the featured stories/links here:

Juliana would never, ever ask for money. In fact, her immediate concern went to her beloved Monarchs, and re-planting the huge loss of host plants and habitat that has burned down. So, we are asking on her behalf, as we are heartbroken alongside her, and created this campaign to raise money to help restore what has been lost. She has given so much so selflessly, if all of us just give a little bit, it would mean so much to her and her "littles" and perhaps make this upcoming holiday season a little brighter and more hopeful.

All money raised goes directly to Juliana and will be applied to give this family some breathing space, help cover basic essentials including food, cleaning supplies, and ongoing bills. Additionally, it will help recoup any damaged items in the storage unit that housed all the Monarch Butterfly supplies, seeds, etc.
