My name is Ash, and I am a 17-year-old trans man.

I recently had my initial consultation with Dr Saylor to get top surgery, and the estimated cost is approximately $17000. I've been saving tirelessly since I was 14 years old, and have currently saved approximately $12000. However, this has been incredibly difficult with the very sporadic work I can get (2 shifts a week, on minimum wage), as I am still completing my high school education (Year 12). Unfortunately, I am unable to ask family for support, and have no other form of financial support to access. So, I am reaching out to my amazing community!

Getting this surgery will be lifechanging for me. I have been out as a trans person since Year 7, and have been struggling with gender dysphoria for even longer. This surgery would make me feel so much more comfortable in my own skin, support my mental and physical well-being, and boost my confidence immensely.
