Save a Marines Home
I was over at my neighbor's house talking to him the other day and he informed me that his house was going into foreclosure as he was 5 months behind on his mortgage payments. From one veteran to another this breaks my heart as I feel we should always take care of our own.
I wish I had the funds myself to help him, but I simply do not. As a community though we can rally together and give back to someone who has given everything for our country. 100% of the proceeds will be given directly to John to pay off his mortgage and fees to become caught up. Any remaining balance will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. That means everything you contribute will in some way be going to help veterans. Let's show John that his country stands behind him when he needed it most, as he did for all of us.

UPDATE FOR 7/20/2012: A few people have been asking me about the circumstances surrounding this cause and why John's house has gone into foreclosure. They wanted to make sure they were not donating to a person who has defaulted due to drugs, gambling, anything of that nature. I can assure you that is not the case. John is a 58 year old Marine veteran, who owned and operated a small machine shop here in Clearwater FL. When the economy started to go bad about 3 years ago his business drastically started to decline, and he had been scraping by. Finally it was to much and as stated he failed to pay his mortgage for 5 months. At 4 months the bank begins foreclosure processes. It we can get the funds to pay off his 5 months of mortgage owed and fees associated with the payments being late. Foreclosure will STOP. John has already started taking other avenues of towing goods to produce income. It is just not enough to get him out of the hole he is in. That's where we come in.
