Recovery

I HATE that I have to write this, but here it goes: On Monday, 11/27, I was in a pretty crazy accident. My car was stolen in South Austin at a gas station while I was inside paying. The attendant noticed someone getting into my car, so I dead sprint to my car to try and stop the thief. I was able to grab on to my driver's side door and open it, only to be pushed off by the girl attempting to take my car. I was able to hold on for awhile, but eventually, as the car took off into the street, I was dragged along with it, scraping up my body and getting my foot ran over by my own car. About two hours later, my car was involved in a police pursuit which eventually led to my poor Jeep being totaled by the 3 thieves. They stole from me, injured me and have impacted my life in ways that they can't even imagine. This is the beginning of a lengthy legal process, as well as a healing process for me. My insurance isn't covering it, so I'm putting my pride aside to ask for assistance from my family and friends. I love you all and thank you for all of your support in the past, present and the future. Life will inevitably throw us curveballs and unexpected circumstances that remind us to expect the unexpected. I'm really just happy to be alive!
